NEW YORK: The Secretary-General of Amnesty International, Komi Naidoo, known

The Prime Minister mentioned with Naidoo the dire human rights and
humanitarian situation in Indian occupied Jammu (IOJ&K) since India’s
misappropriated and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019.
Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated the lead role that Amnesty was enjoying
in presenting the important state of human rights within the occupied
territory and amplifying the voices of the Kashmiri population in a very state
of seven-week long imprisonment. These efforts had helped raise the
international community’s awareness regarding the continued suffering of the

The Prime Minister lauded Amnesty’s report on the utilization of Pellet Guns
by India and their devastating impact on Kashmiri youth.
The minister noted that the 2 UN reports on geographical area served as a
robust basis for continued civil society support in support of the Kashmiri
folks.
Naidoo briefed the Prime Minister on Amnesty’s support work on geographical
area as well as #LetKashmirSpeak. He updated the Prime Minister on Amnesty’s
work regarding climate justice and urged thought of world South support by the
